About
Katie Davis, LCSW, CD(DONA)
Therapist & Doula
My name is Katie (she/her) and I am a licensed somatic therapist and certified childbirth doula in Denver, CO. What I've come to understand, after nearly a decade in behavioral/mental health and birth work, is this: birth and therapy are, at their core, the same thing. A threshold. A place where you leave one version of yourself behind and step into another. That liminal space is where I do my most meaningful work.
AS A THERAPIST
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience across group practice, agency settings, and the deeply intimate space of the therapy room. My approach is trauma-informed and relational, grounded in somatic therapy, EMDR, and psychodynamic work. I believe healing happens in the body as much as the mind and I move at the pace your nervous system needs.
I work with adults of all genders and I offer in-person therapy in Denver and virtual therapy throughout Colorado.
AS A DOULA
I became a certified birth doula because I was drawn to the transformative experience of accompanying someone through one of life's most profound crossings. I take a limited number of births each month and offer birth doula support in Denver and Boulder, honoring every birth choice: epidurals, C-sections, home births, hospital births.
My role is to be present for you with the kind of steadiness that comes from understanding the birthing process and how to support you through a transition that will change you forever so that no matter what unfolds during your birth experience you will feel seen, supported, and held through it all.

When I'm not working, I enjoy finding a balance between activity and rest. On the active side, you can find me riding my gravel bike, skiing in the winter, paddle boarding in the summer, trying to keep up with my yoga practice or taking mindful walks. When resting, I love a good nap, reading poetry, sitting in the sun, drinking quality coffee and eating good food (read: coffee snob and foodie). And getting to do these things alongside my husband, my pup Duke, and my community make life so rich and meaningful for me. These are the things that help me find balance, regulation, and joy in life.
